The Sunrise Response to CoVid-19

To our Sunrise Family and Friends,

During these unprecedented times, the health and safety of our employees, customers and guests continues to be a top priority. We have stayed true to our commitment and responsibility of providing a fresh supply of fruits and vegetables to our valued customers.

We can assure you we have made the necessary and required adjustments during this time. Sunrise is more than prepared to fight against this pandemic. As we move forward, we continue to fine-tune our business response plans as needed.

To reduce the potential of spreading coronavirus, many of our associates are working from home during this time until it is safe to return back to the office. Though physical presence is critical to our daily operations for several associates, we are ensuring product moves in and out of our facility in safe and efficient manner. We have temporarily mandated a no-contact delivery to further ensure the safety of our employee’s and customer’s health.

We continue to operate with an abundance of caution to provide a safe work environment for all involved, specifically in regards with Coronavirus. We have updated our already excellent warehouse cleaning and sanitizing methods, to ensure the prevention of cross-contamination and worker-to-worker spread. Our strict adherence to best practices for conducting social distancing, mandating personal-protective equipment and a “No associate works while sick,” has continued to keep our employees and guests safe.

We are cooperating with state and local health officials, as well as following the required safety guidelines by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The CDC, as well as global public health experts, say there is no evidence that fresh produce can transmit the virus.

Our hearts are with those who have been directly and indirectly affected by the virus. Our team here at Sunrise Produce is working around the clock to be a reliable resource for our customers and our communities during this difficult time.
